You aren’t going to find many worms sunbathing on a Florida beach--although Jane Blonde has been known to snorkel near Fort Lauderdale.
Worms are very sensitive to the ultraviolet radiation in sunlight--the same radiation that gives people sunburns. In fact, too much sunlight can kill worms, so they prefer to stay in the dark underground.
Perhaps that’s why the Secret Agent Worms always wear sunglasses.
Worms can be hurt by too much sun. That’s probably why Napoleon Soil always wears sunglasses.
