What is gully erosion?

Gullies are big, wide, ugly gashes in the soil, cut by moving water.

Water moving along the ground can form little channels in the soil called rills. These rills can keep getting bigger and BIGGER and BIGGER. Eventually, some rills turn into gullies.

Gullies are so big that you’d probably have to jump to get from one side to the other.
