Your Mission

Greetings, secret agents. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to dig into two top-secret, ooze-filled missions—Operation “Mud Bowl” and Operation “Number Crunch.”

Mission 1: Operation “Mud Bowl”

• Step 1—Go to the Soil Erosion section of the Secret Vault.
• Step 2—Hunt through the Soil Erosion section of the vault for answers to these earth-shattering questions:
  1. What is soil erosion?
  2. What does it mean to “stop the drops”?
  3. What does it mean to “slow the flow”?
• Step 3—Write down your answers on the Operation “Mud Bowl” Top-Secret Report Sheet LINK UNKNOWN. Then take one of those answers and turn it into a coded message, using a Substitution Code. To learn how to write in code, the report sheet has instructions.

Mission 2: Operation “Number Crunch”

• Step 1—Go to Crunch the Robot LINK UNKNOWN in Slime Theater LINK UNKNOWN.
• Step 2—Play the “Crunch Quiz.” This quiz will give you answers to these questions:
  1. How much soil erodes on all U.S. cropland each year?
  2. How much soil erodes on a single acre of cropland each year?
  3. How many miles of U.S. rivers have environmental problems?
• Step 3—Write down your answers on the Operation “Number Crunch” Top-Secret Report Sheet LINK UNKNOWN. Then take one of those answers and turn it into an Invisible Message. To learn how to do this, the report sheet has instructions.
